World Gin Awards 2024 Country Winners Revealed!

18.01.24
The World Gin Awards has announced the medallists and country winners in its 2024 competition.
This year’s competition, which judges the very best products in the world of gin, saw more than 900 entries from 47 countries in 12 categories, including London Dry, Contemporary, Flavoured, Navy, and Old Tom. There was one new category introduced for 2024: Colour-Changing Gin.

Alongside the big-hitting countries such as England, Australia, and the USA, this year’s competition saw entries from several emerging countries from Europe (including Denmark, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, and Slovakia) and South America (Argentina, Brazil, and Chile), and Asia (Lebanon, Vietnam, and Indonesia).

The country winners were unveiled at the final World Gin Awards judging session in London on 18 January. These country winners will now go on to compete against each other for the title of World’s Best in each category.

The World’s Best will be announced at the Gin Awards, encompassing the presentation of the global World Gin Awards, Icons of Gin, and Gin Hall of Fame, which are taking place in London on 22 February 2024.

David T. Smith, chair of judges for the World Gin Awards, said:
“It’s been another fabulous year for the awards which continued to see a great selection of quality gins from across the globe. It was a delight to move to an in-person three-day event in Norwich which really helps to underline what a community the world of gin is.”
